RRC FILER creates report files that satisfy the electronic filing requirements of the Gas Services Division of the Texas RRC.

Completely menu driven, the RRC FILER is easy to use. Each topic below is an option on the main menu.

GSD Data

GSD-1 and GSD-2 information is accessed and maintained here. Add, edit, and delete information. Sort information in an order that is convenient for you.

Link related "upfront" information (Customers, Service Charges, Rate Adjustments, Delivery Points, and Rate Components) that is maintained with the TAR Data menu option. Of course, the "upfront" information must be added before you can use it in a GSD report.

TAR Data

Information for the TAR reports is accessed and maintained here. Add, edit, and delete information. Sort information in an order that is convenient for you. Create an Excel spreadsheet of your data.

Create Output Files

Your electronic report files are created here. All files meet the format specifications of the Gas Services Division. When you have completed your data entry, just click the report you want and select the storage location on your computer or network.

Reports

The optional reporting module is accessed with this menu option. Choose the report that you want to print, then select the records that you want in your report. You can choose to print only the records that are marked for inclusion in the next electronic filing, or you can print a report with only the records that you select from your database.

File

The utility features are accessed here:

• User Setup - Your e-File user ID's are maintained here.
• Company Setup - RRC Company ID's are maintained with this feature.
• Import Data - RRC FILER can import data for purchase gas adjustments, company customers, and company delivery points from Excel worksheets.
• Update Database - This feature updates the database structure. We use it mainly to deliver system changes and enhancements to you. You do not need to perform this task unless requested.
